What can the Church Video Licence do for your congregation?

The Church Video Licence is a core component of the legal permission required for churches and organisations to show films and TV broadcasts.

• On its own, the Church Video Licence enables churches to show film scenes in their services
• In combination with a PRS for Music Church Licence, it can provide broad coverage to show films in all church activities
• It is often required as part of the licence combination that permits churches to show TV broadcasts

Showing Scenes from Video-Sharing Websites

The Church Video Licence permits you to show film scenes from authorised studios via video-sharing websites such as YouTube, provided the clip has been uploaded by an official source. For videos not covered by the Church Video Licence, CCLI recommends obtaining direct permission from copyright owners before showing them in church.

Please note: The Church Video Licence does not allow charging admission for screenings or advertising of the film. All media must be legally obtained.
